This is the debut album of Seattle-based composer and bassist, Kelsey Mines. The music seeks to explore the wide ranging musical capacities of the double bass not only as a foundational instrument, but also as a profoundly melodic one, via the means of contemporary classical composition, jazz influences, and free improvising.
